THE GATEWAY MEN'S CHORUS PRESENTS
REMEMBERING STONEWALL
JUNE 19-20, 2009
The Gateway Men's Chorus, GMC, invites you to join them in kicking off Pride Week with Remembering Stonewall, the third and final concert of its exciting 22nd season at 8 p.m. June 19 and 20, 2009 at the Edison Theatre on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis.
Stonewall, widely held as the genesis of the gay rights movement, celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Remembering Stonewall is a night of rich, thought provoking music mixed with classics on the lighter side of the spectrum. This delicate balance is accomplished by mixing in a generous dose of music from the GMC's Judy! show. "Several years ago, the Gateway Men's Chorus sang a whole evening of Judy Garland's music. We're delighted to bring some of these great arrangements back to life as we note the 40th anniversary of her death in June 1969," explains Artistic Director Dr. Jeffrey Carter.
Tickets are available online with NO ticket surcharge at http://www.gatewaymenschorus.org/, from any chorus member, Botanicals Design Studio, Left Bank Books and Mokabe's. Group, student and senior discounts are available by contacting the GMC office at 314-289-4169.
