Straightlaced--How Gender's Got Us All Tied Up
@ Missouri History Museum
Don't miss the St. Louis premiere of Straightlaced--How Gender's Got Us All Tied Up! This Groundspark production takes a powerful and intimate look at how popular pressures around gender and sexuality are shaping the lives of American teens. The film showcases the voices of more than 50 youth who speak with breathtaking honesty, insight and humor about gender roles and the struggle to be who they really are.
Their courageous stories model the possibility of dialogue and action, offering both teens and adults a way out of anxiety, fear and violence and toward a more inclusive, empowering society. After the film, join us for a moderated panel discussion.
This program is presented by The National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis.
