Join Missouri Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered couples as they take the third "Show Me Marriage Equality Bus" to Iowa City on Friday March 12, 2010 to legally marry.
**** INFORMATIONAL EVENT ****Sunday, February 14th
12:00-1:30pm
The bus will depart from St. Louis around 6 am and arrive in Iowa City before Noon. Couples will obtain marriage licenses and move to a local opening and affirming church for the actual wedding ceremonies.
A celebration and small party will commence around 3pm at Devotay in Iowa City.The "Show Me Marriage Equality Bus" will depart from Iowa no later than 5pm, so that we can return to St. Louis by 11pm. (There will be a nice pit stop in Hannibal Missouri.)
Everyone is invited to see us depart in the morning and congratulate us when the bus returns home. (Maybe even throw some rice at the recent married couples or write "just married" on our car back windows.)We are trying to keep the cost low for the couples participating.
