Thoughts From a Mouthy Saint: "Hints,Allegations and Things Left Unsaid"

Thoughts From a Mouthy Saint: "Hints,Allegations and Things Left Unsaid"
By: Colby Kluthe, Editor, MetroEast News

Next to "Sand in the Vaseline", it is probably my favorite album title of all time.  And something I feel a welling up the need to say what the saints are likely to say in times such as these.   Daniel always explained it as he was looking for "True Bees", rather than an ordinary Moth.   "You see...  a Moth, he explained, has no idea what to do when someone flips out the lights.  However a bee knows it has a purpose, and has the ability to remain focused on the honey.   He might have reminded me... a True Bee will always find it's honey"   It couldn't care less if you choose to flick the light switch one way or another.

It has been my own lesson to learn to tell these various people apart when I encounter them buzzing about.  Mostly i must admit these days people tend to show you rather abruptly and really without too much delay.   Simply put.. "Shady is what Shady does".

But perhaps for the sake of argument, Shady is not possible if the Light hasnt shone down in a certain angle?    Im simply stating that if a Tree demands to be a Tree, no matter what time of day it may be, it shall remain a Tree.
Over the years you have watched it add rings and bloom again and again.   So even in the depths of winter we can look and say it has always been a Tree.   Food for thought from Me to You Bee~   Just Bee and if we dare show truest self, we need not worry about what time of day it is.

Equality Illinois Remembers Norma Reyes

Equality Illinois Remembers Norma Reyes
CHICAGO – Bernard Cherkasov, CEO of Equality Illinois, the state's oldest and largest organization advocating for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Illinoisans, today offered condolences on the death of retired Chicago Commissioner Norma Reyes.

"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Norma Reyes, a woman whose vision of a just society extending equal rights to all of us infused every aspect of her life," Cherkasov said.

Cherkasov recalled her keynote address to the 2010 Equality Illinois Justice for All Gala, when she paid a moving tribute to her late partner.

"The couple fought a sudden, brief and devastating battle with cancer—and the medical and financial establishment—(in 2009) and the presentation emphasized the imperative for establishing full marriage equality and civil rights for the LGBT community," Windy City Times wrote about her speech.

"Norma's story resonated strongly with the audience, and we wish she could have seen the day when her vision of the freedom to marry is realized in Illinois, as it will be very soon," Cherkasov said. "Everyone who knew her felt her passion for justice. She was an exemplary public servant in the city of Chicago, and she also served the LGBT community with equal fervor. We extend our condolences to her family and friends. We will miss her."
